The Reap IR/IR Hunter USB power adapter threads on to your IR Hunter or REAP IR battery compartment just like your stock battery cap, and has been designed with the same materials and workmanship as your stock battery cap. The adapter allows you to easily connect your Thermal to a USB power source using the provided USB power cable. Each kit is supplied with a drop-in CR123A spacer cell. The provided drop-in spacer cell is necessary when the adapter is used with the IR Hunter or the REAP IR in 2-battery configuration. The spacer cell is not needed when using the adapter with the REAP IR in 1 battery configuration. There are no tools or modifications needed to use the adapter with your IR Hunter or IR Patrol, and if you ever want to use CR123A batteries again simply unscrew the adapter and use your device as normal.
